Ira Zunin

Dr. Ira Zunin earned his MD from UCLA, with a residency in Preventive Medicine, and a MPH. He is Assistant Clinical Professor at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Zunin has studied Tibetan medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a member of the Hawai’i State Board of Acupuncture, and has conducted numerous solo medical missions in India, Tibet, and Nepal. He served as medical officer on four legs of Hokule‘a’s worldwide voyage. He has practiced both martial arts and yoga for over 40 years. He writes the  “Wealth of Health” column, in the Honolulu Star Advertiser, and is the author of The Practice of Freedom. Dr. Zunin is medical director of Manakai O Malama Integrative Clinic and Rehabilitation Center. He lives in Hawaii with his family.
