Kealoha Fox, Ph.D.

Kealoha Fox provides leadership over initiatives for Mauli Ola (Native Hawaiian Health) to address the social determinants of Kanaka 'Ōiwi well-being, including serving as a State of Hawai‘i Climate Mitigation & Adaptation Commissioner. Dr. Fox has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Clinical Research from the University of Hawai'i John A. Burns School of Medicine, a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and more than 15 years of training in traditional Hawaiian health practices. When not working, researching or writing, she serves as an active community member for health equity and spending time with her beloved ʻohana. This year she became one of 21 members of the inaugural class of Emerging Leaders of the Asia-Pacific Region, a program sponsored by the Obama Foundation.
